Deletion of Administrators

Have the ability to delete administrators from Splynx that are no longer needed or required without losing the administrators audit and communication history. For example an administrator that has left the business.

  1. Add the ability to enable/disable/suspend an administrator

  2. Delete administrator from user list

  3. Retain administrators history, ie audit log, email communication for the user.

I think it is quite surprising that this functionality does not already exist.

The account should be allowed to be disabled while retaining any notes added by the admin, with the option to remove “@adminname”

You can just reset / change an Admin’s password, and if you make a new Role with zero permissions and assign that Role to them, that makes them unable to do anything even if they were able to reset their password. That is the process we currently use when we have staff leave the company.

There’s another feature request that is similar - allow deleting an admin without losing their history / comments / etc, I feel like these two could be merged (I don’t necessarily need to delete the account as long as I can properly “lock” it and ideally keep it from showing from the “active” Admins list).

    We could really use this.

I’d like it if admin passwords were no longer stored with reversible encryption, too. If I need to login as someone else, I can reset their password. I never need to know / be able to see another admin’s password.

(I understand why customer passwords are stored reversibly; I’m not a fan of that from a security perspective either, but I can see why it’s being done that way.)

[edit] this seems like a duplicate / very similar to this other FR about “disabling” Admins.
