Title of the post says most of it here. We record the MAC address of equipment in a custom-field in the Inventory section. It is very difficult to tell the difference between a 0 (zero) and uppercase O with the font that is used here. Obviously a MAC address should never have a letter O in it, but people make mistakes (plus O and 0 are very close on a standard English keyboard). Additionally, this problem can happen in Barcode/Serial fields, plus other custom fields where user-input happens. (Not every vendor provides barcodes for serial and MAC address - Mikrotik is one of the worst offenders here.)
I don’t need every column in Inventory to use a fixed width font (“Product” and “Stock location” are fine in variable-width font), but Barcode & Serial definitely should be a font that makes it easy to tell I from l and 1 and 0 from O.
Maybe an option when adding “Additional Fields” like “display in fixed-width: yes/no” that would set whether it uses this kind of font?
